CATS SWIM TEAM HAVE FUN AND SWIM FAST! CATS MISSION STATEMENT: To develop the individual physically, socially and morally, through competitive swimming. It is our VISION to help each swimmer achieve their potential by providing a learning/practice environment that is fun, challenging, and appropriate while preparing them for competitive swimming experiences. How can we do this? Our comprehensive year-around program provides learning/practice opportunities for every child interested in swimming. The practice groups are designed to meet the needs of children aged 5-21 years with varying swimming skills and commitment to competitive swimming – from Novice to National, from 2 days to 6 days of training per week. During the 2007-08 swim year we had 100 swimmers training in 8 practice groups. Our swim team strives to develop the whole child through appropriate and meaningful swimming experiences. Swimming practices and meets offer numerous opportunities for CATS swimmers to learn about themselves and others. Not only are their bodies trained, but their character is developed through working with other swimmers and coaches, setting and achieving personal goals, and experiencing success as well as the occasional set-back. The coaching staff is committed to helping CATS swimmers meet their potential through excellence in swimming knowledge, leadership and teaching. Family involvement is not only welcomed but is essential to the swimmer’s success as well as the success of the program.
Our swim year begins September 2nd. Swimmers can sign up for 7-, 9-, or 11-month programs. We want everyone to have the opportunity to be part of our swim team. Scholarships and Financial Aid are available. For more information contact head coach Mike Kremer H:(410) 848-1606 or E-mail: Kremer@QIS.net. The CATS’ CORE IDEALS include:
